In Her Eyes...

I am suppose to be studying for my Math 1100 test that I am not prepared for, but I just had to post a quick comment before I forget. Today I was getting the girls in their jackets so we could run Carson to school and I was feeling a bit flustered and overwhelmed because I knew I had alot to do before I left for school at 11... Kadynce was just kind of sitting there looking at me. Pretty soon she said "Mom, can I be like you when I grow up?" I said, " Well what do you mean?' She said, " Well I want to be just like you..." I just kind of thought to myself, even though we may not think we are measuring up in this world, and want to become more than we are, our kids are constantly looking up to us and in their little minds, we are exactly who they want to be. WOW! We have big responsibilities that mean 10 times more than any Math test!!!

How true!!! We have very large shoes to fill in their eyes!!! If they only really knew what we go through for them...priceless!

Jen, How true and scary! You also wonder what they are thinking when we are having a bad day and they still want to be like us. When I was a nanny Elizabeth at the age of 3 would always say when she grows up she is not going to have a nanny because she is just going to be a mom! I guess it is good to have kids so they can bring out the best of us.
